Eat Well

The Anton is the ideal place to savor the distinctive flavors of the Caribbean, with a focus on seasonal and local ingredients. Our culinary team frequently changes the menu to incorporate these in-season items, including the catch of the day. 


In the morning, you’re welcomed with a splendid breakfast of ackee, green callaloo, tomatoes confit and salt fish served alongside yellow yam and plantains cooked in a spiced broth. This is accompanied by fresh orange juice blends, and seasonal fruits like watermelon, pineapple, mango, papaya. 

For those with a sweet tooth, try crepes filled with the signature Anton Jam, served with an herb omelet soufflé. And, of course, one cannot forget a smooth cup of coffee made from the coffee beans from Jamaica’s famous Blue Mountains.


After spending a day hiking The Anton’s mountain top or at one of Portland’s pristine beaches, return to a delectable, well-curated dinner. 

  • The Anton’s signature Frutti di Mare, consisting of prawns plucked from on-property freshwater streams, served with local lobster and fish cooked in a coconut curry sauce with basmati rice

  • Local green bean salad with tomatoes

  • Top it off with a banana pink peppercorn tarte tatin

For the meat eaters, one can enjoy:

  • Braised oxtail with local breadfruit au gratin

  • Cucumber and tomato salad

  • Poached pear with saffron, lemongrass, and star anise served with signature homemade Anton’s vanilla ice cream

Vegetarian food options:

  • Breadfruit au gratin

  • Roasted beets and walnuts with local goat cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette

  • Caramelized pineapple with crème caramel sauce and homemade ice cream with roasted peanuts
